Overview
Metal clad facades or rainscreen systems are a relatively modern but welcome development of the roofing and cladding industry.
The main purpose of a façade is to protect the building against the elements, but also to provide a visual face to the outside world. Rainscreen cladding allows architects and specifiers to create aesthetically pleasing designs and visually exciting buildings. These systems incorporate intelligent fixing systems and enable components and interfaces to harmonise with other building elements.
An extensive range of materials is available including: aluminium, zinc, copper, stainless steel, ceramic, terracotta, timber and glass. Surfaces can be rough or smooth and are available in a wide range of colour finishes.
