Pittville Campus Student Village – University of Gloucestershire

Pittville Student Village in Cheltenham has recently been opened to students by the University of Gloucestershire.

Designed by Willmore Iles Architects, the project was a redevelopment of an existing mixed use University of Gloucester campus, and comprised the demolition of existing academic facilities and the development of 577 new student rooms across eight residential blocks, along with the refurbishment of 214 existing student rooms. The existing media centre was also completely refurbished and is now the Laurie Lee building, housing a new reception, refectory, student union, offices, shop and student study spaces.

The site has been developed in partnership with ULiving, a company formed by Bouygues Development and Derwent Living. Working in partnership with universities, Uliving offers a unique approach to providing purpose-built, high-quality accommodation and excellent services. Bouygues Development – part of one of the UK’s leading contractors, Bouygues UK, manages the development and construction management phase of the project. Derwent Living is responsible for operational and facilities management elements.
